In this fantastical landscape painting the 2 smaller houses are giving the purple house side eye and mirroring their inhabitants unkind judgement.  The purple house doesn't conform to their idea of "normal".  However, they fail to recognize what's in their own backyards.  I'd like to add that the purple house is standing tall and proud despite the neighbors shade being thrown at it!
I use papers that I paint to collage onto wood panel after painting the sky in acrylic.
